Huimin is a Speech and Language Therapist who graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Masters in Speech Pathology. She also holds a Bachelors of Arts, majoring in Psychology from the same University.
Huimin has lived in Australia for more than 6 years and has experience in working with children and adults across the lifespan for their communication and swallowing problems. She has gained work and placement experience in both private and public settings - working as a Speech Therapy Assistant while in school and offering her services in rural towns. She is particularly fond of her experience at a school for Autism while in Melbourne, and has gained a wide set of skills and knowledge in working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and children with Severe Behaviour Disorder (SBD).
Huimin is passionate about client-centered care and is dedicated to working with clients and their families to set collaborative goals and therapy plans. She has collaborated with various healthcare professionals and educational support staff to ensure tailored programs for each client, and believes in empowering all her clients and their families.
